Under $25: pocket money and battle packs

This is where Star Wars is quietly brilliant value. The Mandalorian & Grogu's Speeder Bike is the cheapest set we track at just $11, a genuine impulse buy. Step up a little and the mech sets are great army-and-play fodder: the Darth Maul Mech and the Clone Shock Trooper Mech are both keenly priced. For minifigure hunters, the Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack battle pack at $24.99 is the classic way to bulk out a collection.

$25 to $100: where most buyers should shop

The middle of the range is where most buyers should shop. Display busts are a highlight here: the Yoda Bust at $49.99 and the Darth Vader Bust at $76 are handsome shelf pieces that do not need much space. For a build with presence, the AT-AT lands at $79, and the The Razor Crest sits just above the bracket as a standout mid-size ship. The Brick-Built Star Wars Logo at $82 is a neat, cheap display filler.

$100 to $300: serious builds

Now you are into proper centrepiece territory. The character droids are the stars: the R2-D2 at $169 and the C-3PO at $194.99 are instantly recognisable display models. Ship-wise, the Razor Crest at $199 is one of the best-supported sets in this band across the retailers we track, and the AT-ST Walker at $259 is a hefty, poseable walker.

$300-plus: the flagships
