Big W vs Kmart: Who's Cheaper for LEGO?

We track the live price of the LEGO sets both Big W and Kmart carry, so we can settle it with data, not guesswork - and the answer updates itself through the day.

Big W and Kmart are where a lot of us actually buy LEGO - no membership, no fuss, often a set tossed in with the weekly shop. But which one is cheaper? Rather than guess, we track the live price of the LEGO sets both stores carry, so we can just show you the answer.

The verdict, live

This updates itself from today's prices - no stale "prices correct as of last year" table. It counts only the sets both stores actually stock right now, compares each store's cheapest price, and tallies who comes out ahead.

How we worked this out

We line up every LEGO set we track that both Big W and Kmart have in stock, take each store's current price, and see who is cheaper. The biggest wins are ranked by how many dollars you actually save, not by percentage - a few dollars off a big set matters more to your wallet than a flashy percentage off a keyring.

We count first-party stock only: no third-party marketplace sellers on either side, so you are comparing the stores' own shelves, not a reseller's markup. And because both are discount department stores that watch each other closely, you will see plenty of line-ball matches. When the price is identical, we lead with the sets where both stores have discounted to the same figure - the genuine "both on sale" matches - before the full-price ties.

The catch

Prices move and sales come and go, which is exactly why this is a living list rather than a one-off. Whoever is ahead today might not be next week, so it is worth a bookmark - we will always show you who is ahead right now.
